Writing a Data Management Plan for WU funded small scale research projects

In this webinar, we delve into writing a Data Management Plan (DMPs) for Small Scale Junior Faculty research projects that can be funded by the WU. If data is to be collected and/or secondary data used, a data management plan must be attached to the project funding application. A WU DMP-template has been made available to support early-career researchers.

A Data Management Plan is a crucial tool that not only may raise awareness for managing your data but can enhance the overall quality and impact of your research by ensuring robust data management throughout the project (and data) lifecycle.

We show what type of information should be provided in the DMP and how it can be used as an efficient tool for the subsequent management of research data throughout the research project and beyond.

Participants will learn to appreciate DMPs as practical instruments for systematic data handling, even in small-scale research projects. By exploring the multifaceted benefits of well-crafted DMPs, this webinar aims to shift perspectives, highlighting how these plans facilitate a deeper understanding of one's research data and streamline future data reuse.
